this is awesome! Please keep it up! I love neo geo pocket

I've always wanted to make a fighting game on this device, yet i have like 0 coding experience.

Good job on getting this far on something I was planning on doing lol!

Good luck, my friend! It's really hard! LOL

Haven't updated in a bit, but once I put 2 lil' guys on the screen, I realized I needed to refactor a ton of stuff before I can have fighters interacting with each other.

Nevertheless, I've been enjoying the process.

I like the sprite art in the thumbnail! Reminds me of some old NeoGeo Pocket fighting games. Looks very good, definitely downloading in advance of my Playdate arriving later this year (group 5 😢). Very excited to try it out!

They literally are sprites from Fatal Fury: First Contact on the NeoGeo Pocket! :)

I'm using Kim as a placeholder character to help develop the engine!

Oooh, good choice! It fits the Playdate's aesthetic very well, and I hope something similar can be managed when you make your original sprites. Good luck with the engine, and making everything else! This game looks like it has potential, and I'm very excited to see what it looks like as a finished product :)
